Clovelly Bowling Club, 1 Ocean St, Clovelly

indigo foundation turns 20 in 2020! We would love you to join us to celebrate this milestone as the sun sets over the Clovelly coastline with a special evening of jazz, friendship and powerful stories of women-led change from our newest partners in Bougainville.

We are thrilled to announce that we have

  • Dorcas Gano, Eva Suitawa and Marilyn Havini from our newest partners, the HAKO Women's Collective in Bougainville. Meet these formidable women and hear first hand about their vital work to support their local community through a resource centre, library and a safe house for women and children fleeing family and sexual violence.
  • Verity Firth returning as our wonderful MC for the evening. Verity is a former NSW MP and Minister for Women and Education and is now the Executive Director of Social Justice at UTS. With Verity in charge, it's guaranteed to be a great evening.
  • The Minnellies, Sydney six-piece jazz outfit bringing us a soulful mix of jazz standards and originals, featuring the vocal talents of chanteuse Lucy Green.
  • Traditional Syrian feast prepared by Syriana Catering.

Tickets are limited so please get in quickly. Price includes traditional Syrian meal, wine and entertainment. Ample parking is avaialble at the venue.

We look forward to seeing you there!

For registration enquiries please contact info@indigofoundation.org.

NOTE: We had originally announced that our guest speaker would be Guna Vincent from India. Guna is a leading feminist, Dalit rights activist and the founder and Director of our partner in India, Mahalir Sakthi. With the onset of COVID-19, we had to make a difficult decision to postpone Guna's travel from India. In Guna's place, we are thrilled that the timing of this dinner coincided with a visit to Australia by representatives from the HAKO Women's Collective and we are thrilled that we can introduce you on the night to our newest partners.
